We hope you''re all well and enjoying married life (for all those newly-weds!) or looking forward to the big day (for all those soon-to-be-weds!)
We''ve been having a wonderfully busy summer, providing wedding entertainment in Surrey and all across the UK. In fact, we recently hot-footed it up the M1, to play a really wonderful wedding at the beautiful West Mill in Derby. We''d never performed at this venue before, and we must admit, we were absolutely blown away! This industrial mill dates back to the 1800s and with beautiful views and a stunning riverside location, it''s not difficult to see why this venue has recently been featured in the Wedding Ideas Magazine article ''9 reasons you''ll want to get married at West Mill'', Brides Magazine and Love My Dress and is many couples number one choice of venue in the midlands.
Well this wedding of Gemma and Peter Jarvis was no different and the setting was just perfect. We began performing as an acoustic duo during the daytime, which made for a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. We then continued the unplugged vibe, but with the other 2 members of the band, where we performed their first dance outside in the courtyard - what a great idea to have your first dance in the afternoon! We have to admit, this was a new one for us, but it worked really well.
Check out this lovely picture of the couple of full first dance swing!
We then headed inside, turned up the volume and did our full band sets to a very appreciative crowd - the brilliant guests danced their socks off and we had a ball. This was such a perfect day for a summer wedding and we highly recommend The West Mill.
And to top it off, we came home to a lovely testimonial from the couple:
"You guys were fantastic, we have had so many lovely comments from guests to say how much they loved you guys! Thank you for helping make our day so special."
It was our absolute pleasure, Gemma and Peter - thank you for having us.
