Well. What can we say?! 2017 has been our busiest and best year yet - we''ve travelled the length and breadth of the country performing for some brilliant people in some brilliant venues.
When you''re one of the top covers band in Surrey, summer generally means one word: WEDDINGS! And this year has been no different - from the traditional to the rustic, the glamorous to the fantastical, you really can''t beat a good wedding can you?!
So we decided there was only one way to show you the kind of thing we''ve been up to without writing a small novel on summer 2017....GIG VLOG!!
This vlog features some of our favourite venues that we''ve been lucky enough to play at several times, such as The Tithe Barn in Petersfield - a stunning, rustic barn venue in the heart of the South Downs National Park as well as some brand new experience. One which we''re pretty sure we won''t forget in a hurry - a ''Mystical Creatures'' themed birthday party in the woods in Wokingham.
Naturally, we got stuck in and wore some fancy dress so we fitted in with the guests. We also had a wonderful testimonial from Caroline, the birthday girl:
"The band were brilliant; we have had so many positive comments from guests it''s fabulous." Caroline Geering - Birthday party, Heartwood Lodge Firewood 17th June 2017
Our vlog also features a great double whammy gig weekend - a wedding The Leeford Place Hotel in East Sussex and some truly lovely feedback from the newlyweds:
"The band were great. We had so much fun, and the comments people made about the music were incredible. I didn''t get a chance to say thank you to them. Thank you."
Nick & Tania Writer - Wedding, Leeford Place Hotel, East Sussex
And of course, the annual "Picnic & Pimms" Charity Festival at Chilworth Manor in Surrey. This was an incredible evening, even though the British summer lived up to it''s reputation and it poured down for both of our sets! That didn''t seem to stop anyone though, and the crowd danced their socks (or should we say wellies!) off.
And the final clip in the vlog takes us back to Derbyshire and to the wedding of Joseph and Stephen. We were kindly invited to eat dinner with the guests at the dinner table and then after speeches, we performed 3 Beatles songs roaming style. This is something we now offer as an add-on option, so if you are interested in a having a roaming wedding band, please feel free to get in contact for more information.
All in all, we''re pretty sure that whatever the rest of August has in store, it can''t top the last couple of months.
Famous last words indeed....!
Until next time,
